Saison 1865, our own brand for quality and proximity

Printemps has always reinvented itself. Year after year, season after season. As part of its ongoing renewal, Printemps has unveiled an exclusive new brand: Saison 1865. While 1865 alludes to the founding date of the legendary brand, "Saison" is both a nod to the marvelous recommencement that takes place every spring, and to the calendar of fashion collections. Infinitely varied, the label's ready-to-wear and accessories for women and men are also unconditionally committed to the environment: designed essentially in Europe from noble or recycled materials, the Saison 1865 wardrobe has the "Unis vers le beau responsable" label. Gots-certified cotton is used alongside Lyocell knits, while much of the small leather goods are made in France by talented partner craftsmen. Saison 1865 is the story of fashion on the move, at once timeless and quirky, inclusive and committed.

Committed and inspiring concepts

The world is changing, and it's up to major players such as the Printemps group to be connectors and catalysts of change by providing our customers and employees with unique, positive and sustainable experiences. With this in mind, in 2021, Printemps Haussmann unveiled 7ème Ciel, the world's largest physical space dedicated to second-hand Luxury and Designer goods in a department store. This floor, dedicated entirely to vintage and circularity, showcases brands committed to ethical approaches such as upcycling, art-cycling, repair, personalization and second-hand. Printemps customers can also take advantage of the "Second Printemps" luxury vintage buy-back service. Fashion being an eternal restart, Printemps has also deployed the "Hors Saison" concept in several of its stores in France, giving a new lease of life to pieces from past collections. Place des Tendances and Made In Design offer Second Hand, giving customers access to an exclusive selection of products from luxury brands, creators and renowned designers at irresistible prices.

7ème Ciel & Second Printemps

In September 2021, Printemps Haussmann unveiled a seventh floor entirely dedicated to circularity, dubbed "7ème Ciel" highlighting brands specializing in fashion, beauty, accessories or home, committed to an ethical approach, such as upcycling, art-cycling, repair, personalization or second-hand. The world's largest physical space dedicated to second-hand luxury and designer goods in a department store, "7ème Ciel" also offers exceptional vintage pieces, as well as a unique "Second Printemps" buy-back service.

Hors Saison

Hors Saison is a space showcasing a selection of luxury and designer pieces from previous seasons. Selected one by one by our store teams, these women's, men's and homewear models are available at exclusive prices and stand out for their rare character. Unlike current collections, where items are available in all sizes, those in the Hors Saison area are sometimes unique survivors from past seasons. Classified by color range and rich in timelessness, the assortment is refreshed several times a month, as sales progress, and stands out for its curation.

Second life offers from Place des Tendances and Made In Design

Made In Design offers its customers a "Second Life" service: a constantly renewed, limited-stock selection of products that can be put back into the sales circuit, either as exhibition items or as a result of customer returns. A real bargain for design enthusiasts, the products checked by Made In Design's teams are priced according to their condition. Now they're ready to move into your home!

Preserving and promoting our heritage

Numerous renovations and refurbishments are carried out on a regular basis, particularly at Printemps Haussmann, whose facades have been listed as Historical Monuments since 1975. Restoration of the facades took four years, with the restoration of the eight corner rotundas and the facades involving numerous craftsmen such as stonemasons, mosaicists and marble masons. The main dome, comprising 3,181 glass panels, was also renovated and electrified in 2015. More recently, in 2021, Printemps Haussmann gave a new lease of life to one of its most spectacular architectural features: the Coupole Binet and the Pont d'Argent, entirely renovated to house the world's largest physical space dedicated to second-hand Luxury and Designer goods in a department store, the "7ème Ciel". In 2023, Printemps Haussmann continues to reinvent itself by restoring and reopening to the public the Grand Escalier Patrimonial after more than 40 years of closure. Like its flagship store on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, Printemps has paid particular attention to the preservation of this Norman architectural gem, created in 1912, since the creation of Printemps Deauville. Its façade was the subject of a renovation program from 2017 to 2019 aimed at restoring and protecting this exceptional historical heritage: more than 30 art craftsmen and journeymen, mostly local, worked on more than 10 different trades. In 2023, Printemps Deauville has been completely renovated, unveiling a new store format that sublimates its historic heritage.

Throughout the year, Printemps Haussmann invites the curious to discover the store behind the scenes. Book your visit now.

Encouraging women's and youth's empowerment

The Printemps Group's commitment is directly rooted in our history. Since Printemps was founded in 1865, the Group has worked to empower women and young people, and to promote inclusion and solidarity. In recent years, this commitment has accelerated thanks to several forward-looking projects in favor of women's health via Odysséa and RoseUp; young designers with several fashion schools such as ESMOD, Duperré and the Institut Français de la Mode; social integration in partnership with the Ecole de la 2e Chance, Fashion Green Hub and several internal initiatives.

Fighting breast cancer

Since 2013, the Printemps group has supported the RoseUp association, which seeks to inform, accompany and defend the rights of women suffering from cancer. This partnership, whose perennial action is a gala dinner hosted every year since 2014 under the Printemps Hausmann cupola, has also led to several initiatives such as the sale of "rosettes" at store checkouts or the auction with Christie's of Christmas window puppets signed by Chanel, Dior, Prada or Burberry. Initially launched by the Printemps Nation store in 2009, the partnership with Odysséa has since grown steadily, raising over 1.7 million euros for medical research into breast cancer, in particular at the Gustave Roussy Institute. Fund-raising activities include gala evenings, "solidarity shopping" events and participation in Odysséa races.

Support for young designers regularly collaborates with fashion schools and young talents

As a trendsetter and talent scout, the Printemps Group makes it a point of honor to actively support promising young designers. Through exclusive collaborations, dedicated showcases and prestigious events, the Group offers a unique platform where new voices in fashion and design emerge. This role as mentor and promoter enables the Group to support these talents in their development, while enriching its offering with bold, avant-garde creations, to the delight of its customers. In this respect, Printemps regularly collaborates with fashion schools such as ESMOD, Duperré and the Institut Français de la Mode, notably by showcasing student work in its department store windows. Made In Design, for its part, offers young designers the chance to take part in its young talent competition, enabling the winner to publish and market his or her creation via the Made In Design platform.

Promoting access to employment

The Printemps Group is actively committed to professional integration, deploying concrete initiatives to promote access to employment and inclusion for all. Through partnerships with associations and dedicated programs, the Group supports people far removed from the job market, offering them opportunities for training, mentoring and long-term integration into its teams. In 2023, for example, Printemps is creating a tailor-made program in collaboration with France Travail to train jobseekers with no experience in sales professions.

Rounding up at the checkout since 2017

To amplify its action, the Printemps group has joined the MicroDonation at the checkout initiative, now extended to all Printemps stores for three campaigns a year.

Among the associations benefiting since 2017: Les Bonnes Fées, the Women's Foundation, Rose Up, Le Rire Médecin, Gustave Roussy, La Voix De l'Enfant, Emmaüs Alternatives... Thanks to cash rounding, more than 1 million euros have been raised for associations.
